Pakistan vs England 1st Test Day 1 Review & Result
Well, that was a tremendous performance by the Pakistani players in all departments including their bowling lineup and batting as well. England batting first were not able to resist the Pakistani bowlers at their own soil as Pak bowlers read the pitch conditions pretty well and striking the pressure at early stages. The opening stand was not enough as English openers lost wicket earlier. Alastair Cook is the only batsman who resisted the opposition’ attack for a long while by scoring 70 scores, but Mohammad Amir picked that man not allowing him to score a century.
The five English batsmen failed to enter even in the double figures, including the top order batsmen like Mark Stoneman, Joe Root and Dawid Malan who scored four, 4 and 6 runs each. Ben Stokes played a sensible innings comparatively to his colleagues, while Jos Butler lost his wicket on 14 runs and Jonny Bairstow pasted 27 runs on board.
Entire English team was able to score a total of 184 in their 1st innings and the credit of their destruction goes to Hassan Ali and Mohammad Abbas who picked up 4 wickets each, while Mohammad Amir only picked maiden wicket along with Faheem Ashraf who also got 1 wicket in his account.
